  1. Thanks for the update ! ๐Ÿ™‚

Unfortunatly, ext2fsd won’t work with USB 3 to Sata III adapter… He give me “Raw” disk.

  2. Ext2Mgr treats all GPT-typed partitions as RAW. But it won’t affect mounting,

Could Windows disk management (diskmgmt.msc) recognize your disk ?

  4. Win7 x64

0.62 worked great. I updated to 0.63, plugged in my external 1TB hdd that’s in ext3 format, and the drive doesn’t mount. Ent2 volume manager showed it was mounted, but did it didn’t show up in My Computer.

Uninstalled, rebooted, did a fresh install of 0.63, still not working. Unistalled, rebooted, installed 0.62 and it worked again.

  5. Very similar thing happened to me.

    Win7 x64
Monoprice USB 3.0 to SATA Converter Cable
1TB external in EXT4 format that I’ve used with earlier versions of ext2sd and different win7 machine.

New win7 machine, loaded 0.63 and the drive shows up in the partition manager, but no access from Windows.

Uninstall 0.63 and install 0.62. Drive shows up and is accessible.

Other than this odd issue, I can’t give the author enough thanks for all the time this application has saved me trying to share drives between Win and Linux machines!

  6. You may need to start the driver at the Ext2 Mount Manager’s setting page manually. However you can start the driver automatically during boot time.

  7. I explain it further.

The setting page can be found at Tools->Service Management.
Set Service Startup Mode to SERVICE_SYSTEM_START or SERVICE_BOOT_START, and then start the service. After following these steps you should get the drive working again.
If you forget to set Service Startup Mode to the listed option above, you will need to start the driver again manually after reboot.

  12. Hello guys,

I mounted it by using Ext2 Volume Manager. and the Letter is F.

But I can not find a value F in “My conputer”. as well as “Windows Task Manager”.

**But**, after I clicked the “Show processes from all users” button, and click “File”->”New Task(Run…)”->”Browse”. boom, I can see the driver F.

My computer OS is Windows 7 Enterprise x64, with UAC enable.
So I think โ€”โ€”that UAC stuff may cause this issue happen. With UAC enable, explorer.exe process run as a normal user. and a normal user’s programs just can’t access the driver F, until the program have administrator’s power .

    Best Regards,
